Starting with Windows 22 Getting Started Guide 8. Choose Finish to start the Partition Magic Caldera Edition and begin partitioning your hard drive to share with OpenLinux, as shown in Figure 7. FIGURE 7.  When the installation of PartitionMagic is complete, choose Finish to begin the partitioning process. NOTE: Your hard drive is not repartitioned until you com- plete the partitioning steps later in this section. 9. If you still have a CD-ROM inserted into your computer, a warning message says that you must eject this CD-ROM, as shown in Figure 8. FIGURE 8.  Your CD-ROM drive must be empty so that rebooting your computer will return to the PartitionMagic program. CAUTION: If you are installing Partition Magic (and Open- Linux) on a system that already has Windows NT installed, you must create a boot diskette to launch the partitioning tool. On-screen instructions guide you through this process. 10. Eject your CD-ROM from the drive and press OK to continue. Windows shuts down and your system reboots, launching Partition Magic automatically. By rebooting this way to the Partition Magic program, there is no risk of damaging any files that might have been open within Windows.
